Come On, Wake Up Ann Arbor!

I’m posting this one extremely on time this week! Yay! So I did another freeform show today for Transformations. I had a fun time with it and a lot of the show had similar types of songs, which I just happened upon doing, which is kind of cool. The first few songs I picked out weren’t too great, but I tried something new so that’s good.

I have a couple of specialty radio shows that I hosted this past week! On the 17th I did another episode of Pan African Heartbeat, which was when fundraiser was still happening. Today (the 23rd) I did my first episode of Just Folkin’ Around, which is Saturdays 9-10am. I really enjoyed the folk show.

Hello all! Here’s the latest 2 episodes of my radio show! It took me a while to get them up because I’ve been having some problems with downloading them, sadly! So, as a side-effect of that, there’s some skipping going on partway through the winter show. It doesn’t sound too bad, but it is noticeable. So sorry about that!

Hello again! It’s been a while since I have posted in here, and in that time I have done 3 different hour long specialty shows on WCBN. One more Pan-African Heartbeat and 2 of The Latin Show. It’s been fun to explore the Latin and African sections of the station. Enjoy!

Pan-African Heartbeat 11/4:

Another episode for ya! I was very excited for this one. I had been compiling a list of songs for this episode for over a month, and finally felt like I had enough for it! I had tons of fun with it. I have a lot of songs from friends and family and songs from my childhood, so many that I have a connection to and was excited to share with others.

This week I had a theme of SPACE! Yes, all space-themed music and clips! I was really really excited for this show and had a lot of fun with it! Thank you to my sister, Kathryn, who came up with the idea and contributed some song ideas as well! :D I think it turned out quite well. I did songs in sections where I tried to have related subjects.

I slacked off last week and didn’t get my show up, so now I have two shows for you! On the 19th I put all of the music that I have on my computer into winamp and hit random, and then I played what came up! I did make an exception of not allowing any repeat artists, so I just deleted songs if it was a repeat. On the 26th I had a theme of soundtracks.

Happy Independence Day everyone! This show started just 3 hours after the 4th of July ended so I decided I had to have an America theme! Originally this was going to be a bunch of songs about America and that said America and/or U.S.A in them, but I had a lot of issues with finding the CDs or records for the songs I wanted.

I had a lot of fun with this show! I decided that I wasn’t going to attempt to get a lot of different kinds of music like I usually do but was just going to play bands I really like and listen to a lot, with a few new things. I think it worked out quite well! I hope you enjoy it!
