Which of the 2017 fundraiser designs are yours?

I created the dragon T-Shirt design, the radio shaped logo, and the skull with the explosion!

Tell us about yourself. What are you studying? Where are you from?

Hello! My name is Lydia and I'm from Haslett, Michigan. I am currently a Senior in the Stamps School of Art & Design studying User Interface and Graphic Design! But during my time at Stamps, I've done a little bit of everything - video, 2D animation, 3D modeling, painting, drawing, web design... I have a lot of passions! As far as personal interests go, I am studying Chinese and Korean, enjoy playing the guitar, dancing, traveling, and having fun with life. In general making the most of my last months here at UofM!

What's your favorite medium for art?

My favorite, favorite medium, if I did nothing else, is definitely painting. Painting in any medium - oils, acrylics, or watercolors.

Any inspiration for your designs?

For the dragon design, I was influenced by the Lunar New Year which happened not too long ago. The skull explosion was a fun play on WCBN's "free your mind" slogan.

What's your favorite genre of music?

I'm a huge fan of Korean music, especially Korean RnB and Acoustic. Those genres are dominating my playlist right now! If anyone else is a Kpop fan, let me know because we can become best buds :)

Where can we find more of your art?

You can find more of my design work at my website.

Which of the 2017 fundraiser designs are yours?

I worked on the hat design, poster design, lotus logo, 3 coaster designs, as well as the fresh music t-shirt.

Tell us about yourself. What are you studying? Where are you from?

I just graduated in December from the Art + Design school, where I focused on digital design and 3D design. I started in the film school, but after realizing that they only had one animation course being offered, I knew I had to switch over to Penny Stamps. That switch was so important for me. I'm originally from White Lake, MI but Ann Arbor has definitely become a second home for me, particularly the co-ops, or ICC Ann Arbor. The co-ops are home to so many creative minds from all departments, definitely a big draw for my artist spirit! I do a lot of posters for events through the organization, come to one of our comedy shows!

What's your favorite medium for art?

I love using oil clay to sculpt, but lately I'm also super fond of digitally painting on cintiq tablets.

Any inspiration for your designs?

I'm really interested in being able to say a lot with the simplest line work. Scandinavian design as well as some of the new app graphics that have been coming out lately come to mind. I also love old video game graphics, and was definitely channeling some of that while working on these projects.

What's your favorite genre of music?

Psychedelic and surf rock!

Which of the 2017 fundraiser designs are yours?

The pint glass logo and the vaguely deer-like creature. I also did a pretty sick octopus that I hope gets used!

Tell us about yourself. What are you studying? Where are you from?

I'm a Senior in the art school. I make art in all kinds of media, but it all ends up at a strange intersection between my ongoing personal mythology and the delirious histories of comics and animation and video games and pop culture at large. Basically, I steal from my favorite things and draw weird/creepy monster about the people I love. I'm from Battle Creek, MI.

What's your favorite medium for art?

I do illustration the most, but printmaking is my love.

Any inspiration for your designs?

Deer hold a special place in my early memories.

What's your favorite genre of music?

hip-hop!
