This is a benefit for the Peace Scholarship Fund from Veterans for Peace Chapter 93.
The group will play its 1998 debut album "Moon Safari" in its entirety.
This is an immersive experience of storytelling, music, song, ancestral wisdom, and community-building. Guests include trumpeter and singer Sonny Singh ("Sing"), and other Sikh artists.
The event will be preceded at 6:30pm by a conversation with the authors of the new book, "MC5: An Oral Biography of Rock’s Most Revolutionary Band".
Visitors will have a chance to make their own apple cider, using a grinder and presses, as apple supplies last. There will also be apple tasting, and a bake sale.
The book is about Taiwanese TV chef and cookbook author Fu Pei-Mei, who taught people how to cook Chinese food for 40 years. There will also be a cooking demonstration.
