There will be booksellers, publishers, authors, and all-ages activities.
Two documentaries about recent American elections: “First Vote” and “Chosen”
The 1st is about Chinese-American electoral organizing, and the 2nd follows five Korean-American congressional candidates. This will be on the 10th floor.
“Concert4aCause: Ten Beethovan Sonatas”: a benefit for Continuum Help Foundation ♫ (2nd show)
U-M piano & violin students play all 10 Beethoven violin & piano sonatas over the course of two concerts. The nonprofit serves developmentally disabled adults and their families.
Classical guitarist João Luiz [Zh-wow loo-EES] ♫
A performance of the satirical comedy by George and Ira Gershwin, “Of Thee I Sing”
In this 1931 satire, John P. Wintergreen runs for president on the "love" platform. This will be performed by U of M music and musical theater faculty and students.
Bria Skonberg ♫
Bria Skonberg is a Canadian trumpeter, vocalist, and composer. There will also be a 7pm show.
Phil Ogilvie’s Rhythm Kings ♫
The Resonant Soundscapes performance series will feature Garrett Schumann, Sara Tea, and Julie Zhu ♫
This performance will feature improvisation on the tower carillon ("CAROL-on"), and an ambient-electronic headphone listening experience.
Jesus “Aguaje” Ramos and his Buena Vista Orchestra ♫
The group includes members of Cuba's Buena Vista Social Club.
