Catherine Kautsky of Lawrence University will present a lecture and recital. She will place Debussy's piano music in the context of the end of the 19th century.
The collective combines classical, contemporary, jazz and world music, with a focus on the music of Greece and the Greek diaspora.
The orchestra will perform George Gershwin's Concerto in F (to celebrate its 100th anniversary), and other works. There will be a pre-concert lecture at 7:15pm.
Taimane is a ukulele virtuoso, singer, and songwriter. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted for the non-profit organization Food Gatherers.
Visitors can learn about breadboards, switches, LEDs, motors, and lots of components, in this hands-on experience.
