This is based on the children’s book by Shazia Omar, in which two sisters use their magical powers to save their village from drought. There's also a 1pm performance.
There will also be a 9pm show.
Marcel Khalife is a legendary Lebanese composer, singer, and oud master. His sons Rami and Sary play piano and cello.
This free event is to raise awareness and support for suicide prevention and mental wellness. There will be speakers, raffles, food, and activities.
The group performs danceable music derived from traditional klezmer, Israeli, and religious music, mixed with modern jazz, Latin, and rock rhythms.
Giant-sized "puppets", created and animated by U-M students and community members, will be paraded up and down Main Street.
There will also be a 7:30pm show.
